  3. NGSS Shifts 1. Inquiry-based instruction 2. No more right/wrong answers=SENSE-MAKING 3. Using evidence to justify reasoning 4. Embrace flexbility with instruction, and stickiness in the process of sense-making 5. Provide opportunities for failure so students get comfortable with it 6. Let them struggle! 7. Let them talk it out.
