This weight loss procedure is also found to be helpful in controlling diabetes mellitus, hypertension, depression, infertility, etc. However, selection criteria for an obese patient depend on severity of obesity and the presence of co morbidities such as uncontrolled diabetic state, serial joint or knee pain and those who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea.
