2. Basic Sizes • Female painted turtles are more bigger ranging from 6 to 7 inches • Males are smaller then females ranging from 5- 6 inches • The painted turtle is large and a multi - cellular organism

5. Development • Painted turtles have internal development as the embryo develops in the egg

6. Number produced • Produces 10 to 20 eggs per reproduction event depending on size and maturity

7. Offsprings • Produces 10 to 20 eggs at a time every reproduction event and can add up to 100 eggs in total in 1 year up many do not survive

8. Hatching • For the painted turtles to hatch it takes 72 days to 80 days to develop enough to hatch

9. Care for Painted turtle • The female adult typically takes care of the eggs for most of the time but only for a short brief moment for the eggs to develop and then the baby turtles are on there own to hatch and survive on there own without parental guides what so ever

Courtship • The painted Turtle do engage in courtship to attract each other as the female releases olfactory signals for the males to smell and and be attracted to as the males will attempt impressing the female by extending or bobbin there necks and go far as even slightly biting the female to get there attention

11. InTerEsTiNg • One interesting facts on painted turtles when on the verge to lay eggs are how they will be picky enough to travel more then 1300 feet around their area to find an area of there liking to lay there eggs
