Sources of Ionization Radiation The main groups of ionization radiation sources: • Nuclear research reactor IRT-M (Shut down, decommissioning is going on). • Enterprises and organizations having radioactive sourcesused as a main parts of densitometers, gamma relay assembles and others (Mainly 137Cs, 60Co and 192Ir to be used). • Irradiators type RHM Gamma-20 (60Co with activity 1013Bq) Two medical accelerators. • Nuclear Medicine. • X-ray devices used mainly for medical and also for research purposes. • Disposal of radioactive wastes. (Closed).
