  4. Composition I & II • Composition Program in 2003 - 2005 • Created Tests, Tutorials, Guides Discontinued - but experience demonstrated potential for utilizing Bb for library instruction

  5. IL, STL, and Composition • Building Partnerships: IL a requirement first in Composition II (with related research assignment) and later in Composition I (no assignment) • comes to New Paltz!!!

  6. Inspiration • A Pre-Library Quiz on Bb to assess IL skills prior to the mandatory library session, using Blackboard… • AND a Post-Library Quiz to find out what they learned • Issues?

  18. Arts of Japan Library Questionnaire • Although no student contacted the librarian for help with the Art Research Tutorial & Exercise, 33 students indicated that they did learn something new.

Useful.” “this is really helpful that i can search more information about this class.” “i can't learn when someone dictates to me i need to been shown privately in a one on one session or i get lost.” “By this point I'm comfortable doing research on my own and would probably not need another in-person library session, but the library sessions that I took when I first started doing research at NP were very helpful.”

Its a great sources for all student. I have used this service several times. This isn't my first time to use this blackboard under Library.” “the school databases are really bad. I dont get why we have to use them, i can never get good information from them, sometimes i have to stretch out info so it looks better. Why cant anyhting have a layout like wikipedia. even though it is not a scholoraly website, the layout of information is way more productive. Get your information and get out.”
