Easement purchase-Forest Legacy Program, Iron County • 14,352 acre conservation and access easement in perpetuity • Cost of easement $4,841,000 • Open to all five nature based outdoor activities • 16 miles of designated public access roads • Road endowment of $400,000 created to insure roads are maintained in a base line condition • Forested landscape with rolling topography • Adjacent to 13,805 acre Twin Lakes forest legacy easement • Multiple unnamed lakes on the property including Little Moose Lake and Fifteen Lake • 3.24 miles of trout streams and 13.91 of unnamed streams • Conservation easement continues the tradition of a working forest ensuring continued contribution to the state’s forest economy Jim Lemke Real Estate Section Chief Agenda item: 2.B.8.
