  2. INTRODUCTION Shrink mixed concrete or Ready-mixed concrete is another type of concrete that is created in factories. This type of concrete is highly durable and long-lasting. This type of concrete is also in high quality. There are four types of shrink mixed quantities and those are • Transit Mixed • Shrink Mixed Concrete • Central Mixed Concrete • Slurry Mixing

  3. TRANSIT MIXED • Transit means transport, so this type of concrete is mixed while it is being transported by large trucks. It contains all the raw material dumped, which is then dumped into the truck mixer. Most of the water is usually batched in a factory. The mixer drum is rotated at different speeds while being loaded in the truck. There are also three more categories in this type of mixer and those are • 1.Concrete Mixed at the job site • While the concrete is being delivered to the job site it is being rotated in the truck mixer at the rotating speed of 70 to 100 revolutions. When reaching the job site, the mixer is completely mixed. • 2.Concrete Mixed in the yard • The concrete is mixed at fast speeds of 12-15 rpm for 50 revolutions and this allows quick dumping of the patch in the yard. • 3.Concrete Mixed in transit • While the concrete is being delivered to the job site it is being rotated in the truck mixer at the medium rotating speed of 8 rpm for 70 revolutions. When reaching the job site, the mixer is completely mixed.

  4. SHRINK MIXED CONCRETE • This type of concrete is partially mixed in plants, after that this mixed concrete is then dumped into transit mixed trucks and is mounted behind the trucks. The amount of mixer depends on how much the plant has given the transit mixed trucks. • CENTRAL MIXED CONCRETE • This type of mixer is also called a central batching plant. This type of concrete is mixed before loading into the truck mixer. While transporting the mixer it only works as an agitator. • SLURRY MIXING • It's a new type of mixing in the market. It means mixing the cement with water and is then loaded into the truck mixer. The truck mixer slowly aggregates and it then dumps the mixer where it belongs.
