The Vision The role of the EOSC is to ensure that European scientists reap the full benefits of data-driven science, by offering: 1.7 million European researchers and 70 million professionals in science and technology a virtual environment with free at the point of use, open and seamless services for storage, management, analysis and re-use of research data, across borders and scientific disciplines
Financing the EOSC Phase 1, until 2020: • The Commission will invest EUR 300 million to support the core functions of the EOSC as per milestones • Member States flag the national initiatives that they want to federate with the EOSC • Policies, rules of participation, core services to be agreed Phase 2, after 2020: • Sustainable financial and legal structure for EOSC based on studies performed and experience gathered during Phase 1

Join as a service provider • Online platform where providers can manage service requests, interact with users and provide support to them, and agree the most suitable service levels • Publish, share and advertise services and resources to a wider user base • Allow users to authenticate with existing credentials to access services and resources and get support to enable this • Get statistics about access requests and user feedback
