How to start a Digital Story Step 1: Decide on the story You Want to Tell Step 2: Gather Your Materials – Pictures/Video Step 3: Begin Writing Your Script Step 4: Prep Your Equipment You'll need: • A computer or laptop • Video software such as Photostory, iMovie, Windows MovieMaker, etc…. • A (desktop) scanner, if you want to include traditional photos or a Camera to download pictures. Step 5: Create a Storyboard Step 6: Record a Voice-Over/Add Music (Freeplay Music) Step 7: Edit/Share Your Story
Storyboards • In digital storytelling, it is important to plan out your story. The best way to do that is with a storyboard. • The storyboard gives you some organization before you begin creating your story on the computer.
