Course Requirements (Cont.) • Prerequisites: MRKT 370 • Course Objectives: • To introduce the philosophy of management. • To introduce the role of retailing in society and economic system. • To introduce the case method, and practical and managerial approach in retailing.. • To introduce career opportunities in retail filed.
Course Assignments • Case Analysis/Presentation (group of two students, maximum 10-15 pages. • Research report/presentation (individual report, maximum 10 pages): Proposal Required • A total of three quizzes/exams. • Class discussion and participation.
Some Details about Course Assignments • Written Case Analysis: • Preparation of group of two students. Each group must select a leader as a coordinator. • Each group must meet as often as possible under the direction of group leader. Group leader must inform me any unusual circumstances. • Each member of the group must evaluate each other et the end of semester. • Cases must be presented and discuss in class. • Written portion of the report must be maximum 10-15 pages and due at the end of class presentation.

Some Details about Course Assignments (Cont.) • Research report/Project • It will related to retailing operations. • Topic must be selected from the list which is given at the end of this syllabus. • Submit a proposal and an outline not later than the sixth week of this semester. • Collect information and complete your report/project. • Present your report in class. • Submit the written portion at the end of your presentation.
