  1. Drill • What are the 7 slides you are making for your Mini Bio PowerPoint?

  2. Objective • Students will use PowerPoint in order to create a presentation about themselves.

  3. Text Boxes • To add a text box click on INSERT, TEXT BOX • To change at text box, right click in the box, click FORMAT SHAPE • From here you can add a fill color & border • Click on TEXT BOX tab to move text from top, middle, or bottom

  4. Custom Animation To get your bullets to come in one at a time… • Click on ANIMATIONS • Select CUSTOM ANIMATION and choose an entrance effect • Make sure your effect is set to START ON CLICK

  5. Slide Transitions • To add a transition effect in between slides click on ANIMATIONS • Choose a transition effect • Make sure it is set to advance ON MOUSE CLICK • Choose APPLY TO ALL SLIDES

  6. Clip Art • To add pictures from clip art, click on INSERT, CLIP ART. • Search for a keyword in the sidebar. Click on the picture you want to use.

  7. Mini Biography • If you think you are finished and there is still time left in the class, REVIEW your entire presentation. • How could you make it better? • Suggestions: • Animate your graphics • Use Word Art for your titles • Add more details on your slides • Add a fill color and border to your text boxes • Change your bullets
