  7. THE TCP PROTOCOL • Divides data into datagrams • Resends datagrams if they gets lost • Checks that everything is well-done • It reassembles the data when it arrives at destination

  8. THE IP PROTOCOL • Puts a littleheadercontaining the IP of the sender and receiver • Sendsdatagrams to theirdestinations
