Instructions for ELMS (Microsoft Alliance) for downloading Visual Studio 2010 August 2012
What is ELMS? “ELMS is a web-based management system which enables you to make DreamSpark software easily available to your students and faculty. The use of ELMS for the management and distribution of software in the DreamSpark Program is provided to you by Microsoft and e-academy (Microsoft partner) as an DreamSpark member benefit, free of charge.” (https://e5.onthehub.com/Admin/Default.aspx)
Start • Open a browser (since it’s a Microsoft site it probably will work best with Internet Explorer) and navigate to the following address: • http://msdn.e-academy.com/lasalle_mcs/
If you know your credentials, enter them. Usernames are typically your La Salle email address.
If you don’t know your credentials click on the “Forgot your password?” link
Enter your username (usually your La Salle email) and click Submit. Follow the instructions in the resulting email.
If you want to use what we have in the classroom, then chose Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
Again, if you want to use what we have in the classroom, then choose Professional
Click Launch and then burn (assuming you have a DVD ready to burn in the drive).
