The Association of Old Crows, Garden State Chapteris pleased to present a Lunch-and-Learn Event “The Electromagnetic Pulse & Intentional electromagnetic Interference”Presented by Mr. Melvin Lewis, Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University The presentation will explain how an intentional EMP differs from GeoMagnetic effects (induced ground current surges caused by extreme solar activity). Technical descriptions of various types and sizes of non-nuclear EMP generators and High Energy RF weapons, and how they could be deployed will be discussed. Examples of design and application information, which is available on the internet for exploitation by people meaning to do us harm will be presented. The vulnerabilities of America’s energy generation, water treatment, petroleum refinery, and other infrastructures will be discussed, along with some of the mitigating steps that can be taken, to prevent damage caused by an EMP or HERF attack. 27 April 2012 1130-1300 EDT CACI, 607 Industrial Way West Eatontown, NJ RSVP, NLT 25 April 2012: Fort Monmouth – Chris Lanzafame, e: lanzafame_christopher@bah.com, ph: 732-936-3581APG – Bob Althauser, e: bob.althauser.ctr@us.army.mil, ph: 443-861-1208
