  2. Exposition When: 1740’s – 1760’s Where: North America England and France were competing to be the most powerful nation in Europe. This soon expanded into North America. They both wanted control of this “new” continent. Setting Situation

Resolution The Treaty of Paris 1763: • France had to give up Canada & its land east of the Mississippi River • Spain gave Florida to G.Britain and in exchange, G.Britain gave Spain the Louisiana Territory * This war marked the end of France being a power in North America. Now only the British and the Spanish were left to compete.
