The Alien Policeman have determined that the people of earth may keep one right from the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th amendments but give up all other rights. • Objective: • Students must Identify ONE Supreme Court Decision which protects the “Rights of the Accused” from the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th Amendments. • Students must then summarize the background information about the case. • The Constitutional Question that the Supreme Court had to answer must be identified • Explain and analyze how the Supreme Court answered the Constitutional Question AND how this landmark decision helps protect “the rights of the accused” • Provide a personal opinion on how this right is essential to people’s rights in a free country providing strong evidence of its importance in a free society.
