Conf:Report p.1/2 Changes to the SC Joined the SC • - Tomasz Burzykowski (BE) • - Jacobo de Una Alvarez (ES) • - Jan van de Kassteele (NL) • - Kate Lee (AU) Left the SC • - ChristelCastelli (FR) • Became the SC Secretary: • - GeirEgilEide (NO) New version of the COSC Guidelines • Was sent to SC in June 2013 for review – no comments received • Was discussed further at ISCB34 in Munich – see update doc for comments • Has not been re-issued as some time is needed to implement the comments, upload to website with links to all the attachments

Conf:Report p.2/2 • Future Conferences • President Koos has contacted a few people concerning future conferences • Officers have discussed • - detailed proposals from Kate for Melbourne(AU, 2018), • - initial proposal from Jacobo for Vigo(ES, 2017), • - intention from Tomasz to hold meeting in Belgium (2018+) • - ??? What is the purpose of the SC • - if the Officers + ExCom discuss and approve the conferences, is the SC needed only to discuss and update the Guidelines? • - your thoughts, please?
