Second & Third Crusades • Saladin won many battles against Crusaders, including the Battle of Hattin. The Battle of Hattin was a huge defeat for the Crusaders during the Second Crusade.
Second & Third Crusade • When Christians first took Jerusalem they killed every Muslim inside. • Saladin retook Jerusalem for the Muslims in 1187, sparing all Christians. Christian defenders of Jerusalem surrender to Saladin
