What is SACSCOC? Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
Benefits of Accreditation Students are eligible for federal financial aid. Degrees, diplomas, and certificates are generally viewed more favorably for employment. Courses transfer to institutions of higher learning.

“SACS FACTS” • Reaffirmation Process: • Development of a QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) topic (2012) • Internal review of College compliance with the “Principles of Accreditation” (2013) • Submission of Compliance Report (March 2014) • Review of Compliance Report off-site by an 8 member peer review team (May 2014)
“SACS FACTS” • Submission of Focused Report addressing the off-site review team comments (August 2014) • Submission of QEP (August 2014) • Site Visit on September 30 - October 2, 2014 with 8 member peer review team • If we receive recommendations after site visit, we will submit a follow-up report within five months. • Summary review and decisionby Board of Trustees in 2015
