Programme Overview • UN-REDD is a National Joint Programme – which coordinates inputs from three UN Agencies – FAO, UNDP, and UNEP • In Cambodia, UN-REDD is part of the Cambodia REDD+ Programme. • The programme’s objective is to support Cambodia to be ready for REDD+ implementation, including development of necessary institution, policy, and capacity. • The central planning document for the programme is the Cambodia REDD+ Roadmap which has been used to develop the National Programme Document for UN-REDD and the R-PP for the FCPF and guide support from other DPs

Up-date on Progress The PEB • Cambodia REDD+ Taskforce members have been nominated by line ministries, • The first Cambodia REDD+ Taskforce meetingis scheduled on 28 September 2012 • The first PEB meeting took place in 7th June 2012 and the PEB ToR and Annual Workplan were approved. • The next PEB meetings are scheduled for 3rd October and December 2012, The Cambodia REDD+ Taskforce
Up-date on Progress The Taskforce Secretariat • Cambodia REDD+ Taskforce Secretariat staff have been nominated in November 2011, • National staff for UN-REDD programme have been contracted and start working for the secretariat in August 2012, • International staff for UN-REDD programme is in recruitment process and will be available in late September (MRV Technical Advisor) and October (UNDP Technical Advisor), • The Secretariat weekly meeting has been regularly organized from August, • Q2 and Q3 workplan have been developed in collaboration with the UN and Government agencies, • Computers, printers and furniture for the Secretariat have been quoted, ordered and available in September, • The Secretariat Room is at 3rd floor of FA building
Up-date on Progress ProgrammeActivties • Criteria and process for selection CS and IP representatives has been discussed and agreed after conducted 3 meetings with CS and IP networks. • Workshop on Selection CS and IP representatives is scheduled on 25-27 September 2012, • TOR for REDD Website development has been reviewed, finalized and will announce for service supplier,

Workplan for Q3 Focused on: • Arrangement for full function of the Taskforce Secretariat • Organize the first Cambodia REDD+ Taskforce meeting • Selection of civil society and indigenous peoples representatives for PEB meeting • Follow up and contract service suppliers for Website development and Awareness Raising activities, • Discussion on modality to development National Protected Areas Management with GDANCP, • Establish the technical team such as MRVteam and safeguard team • Further development of activities for Q4
