Guiding Statements “Recognize that intended and unintended forms of incivility, aggression and violence enacted in academic and clinical settings can serve to reproduce and escalate violent behaviours and practices between and among all health-care professionals in academic and health-care organizations” (RNAO, 2009, p. 8) “An educational program addressing abuse should be implemented in all health care facilities in Saskatchewan. The educational program should include philosophy and policies which outline the facility/organizations commitment to provide a safe work environment…” (RPNAS, 1994) “A moral communityis a workplace where values are made clear and are shared, where these values direct ethical action and where individuals feel safe to be heard” (CNA, 2008, p. 27)
