9th Grade Matters! • Students who start well end well! • Top students get established in 9th grade • Do: • Set goals – both short-term and long-term • Find friends with same goals • Stay organized, focused and work hard • Don’t: • Start high school without a plan • Dig a hole with your credits and GPA • Let distractions take you off your plan

Performance Acknowledgements • Dual Credit – 12 hours, GPA of 3.0+ • AP Exams – 4 or 5 • PSAT – Commended Scholar+, National Hispanic and Achievement • SAT – 1250+ CR and Math • ACT – 28 (Excludes writing) • Bilingualism and biliteracy – Completed all ELA requirements with GPA of 80 or above plus • 3 or more of same LOTE • Complete 4th Level of LOTE • AP exam 3+ • National or International Industry Certification
