DAY 1 Thursday, July 2 Depart CHS for Washington, D.C. Afternoon arrival Sightseeing – Panoramic motorcoach tour of Washington Dinner at a local restaurant Hotel check-in Evening walking tour of Jefferson, Lincoln, Korean, FDR, MLK & Vietnam Memorials Return to Hotel
DAY 2 Friday, July 3 Breakfast at the hotel Tour of Arlington National Cemetery/Participate in special U.S. Military Wreath Laying Ceremony at Tomb of Unknown Soldier Mount Vernon & Old Town Alexandria Dinner at a local restaurant Evening tour of Jefferson and Iwo Jima Memorials Military Service Concert Return to Hotel
DAY 3 Saturday, July 4 Early Morning breakfast at the hotel Transfer to parade staging area, National Mall PARADE! Lunch at motorcoaches Sightseeing/Smithsonian Institute Museum (time permitting) Dinner at a local restaurant “Capitol Fourth” celebration on Capitol Lawn, featuring the National Symphony Orchestra & fireworks
DAY 4 Sunday, July 5 Breakfast at the hotel Check-out and board motorcoach Sightseeing Ford’s Theater & Peterson House Afternoon departure for home Evening return to Chelmsford High School

Student Musician Expectations You need to be able to play your instrument at a proficient high school level. You need to be able to play the selected material. You need to be in good enough shape to march in full uniform, in Washington D.C., in July heat.
