Adolescent play «In teenage subculture, blending of play and activity often occurs, which reveals itself in “theatralization”, “artization”, “carnivalization” and improvisation of life» (V. Abrossimov,2006, p. 25).
Role experimentation “Role experimentation literally underpins all adolescent life – starting with defining the boundaries of the acceptable behavior and finishing with setting and virtual resolving of the life tasks. The latter most often reveals itself in mental “trying on” of future professional and personal roles (A.M. Prichozhan, 2016).

Rubtsova OYAP and Pegasus Theatre are arts based organisations that work with young people (11-18) who either do not attend school or are reluctant attendees. The focus of the evaluation is the young people's experience of the activities which they engage in – particularly role play games and drama – and how these activities transform their current social situation of development.
