  6. Arshad Ali University of Waterloo, Software Support Student (2 Terms) “I joined the BSSC because it was my chance to create memorable experiences for students, planning and managing events/media to make the student life at BlackBerry the best it can possibly be. Creating content is not only fun, but rewarding. I am making an impact on the company culture, while gaining lasting relationships and building important skills along the way. The BSSC is important to my experience here at BlackBerry because of the number of skills it sharpens, from leadership in team meetings, to organizational skills in managing large scale events for nearly 200 students. The BSSC helps students by being a community, a bringing together of people in different departments, buildings and teams to have fun, make connections and improve the quality of student life here at BlackBerry.”

  7. Cecilia WeiUniversity of Alberta, Enterprise Technical Support Student “I joined BSSC as a Media Director in January. This term I was promoted to the Co-Chair of BSSC. The BSSC helps organize events for students to get together and develop professional profiles. Joining the BSSC not only made me more at ease when working in a team but also enhanced my multi-tasking ability. People here on the BSSC are all super talented. By discussing with others, I have picked up other useful design tools that I was not aware of and strengthened my overall video-making skills. Without the students social community, I might have only met the co-ops on my floor. Thanks to BSSC, I got to know a lot of students from the company and eventually became best friends with some of them. By talking with those people, I learned of other positions and courses that I would like to pursue in the future. I am proud to be apart of BlackBerry and part of BSSC!”
