Check-out Sheets • Check-out sheet distributed during SSR on Monday, May 14th • Read and follow the directions carefully • Return books and pay fees owed to the bookstore before checkout day to avoid late rush. (Due Fri. 18th) • Cafeteria fees must be paid to cafeteria • Library books/fees paid to media center

  8. Senior Meeting 2012 Handout • Please complete and return the bottom portion of the sheet to Ms. Atchue, principal’s secretary by Thursday, April 12th Important!!!!!!!! Do Not Forget 100% return of all signed senior forms is required!!!

  9. DO YOU OWE MONEY???? Over $6500 in general and textbook fees is currently owed by seniors! Please check with the bookstore for amounts owed* • This includes any outstanding books, athletic and misc. fees etc. • Check with the cafeteria for outstanding lunch accounts Seniors w/ outstanding balances/overdue books, etc. will not walk and receive their diplomas Check media center for library books Get all fees paid before Mon. Apr. 30th if possible to avoid the rush!!!!!

  11. Final grades due from community college, correspondence courses, etc. by May 14th* • Official transcripts due to counseling no later than Friday, May 14th. It is YOUR responsibility to get grades to Willow Canyon on time! Grades Due

  13. Myth: Seniors can’t fail second semester • TRUTH: Seniors have failed and not graduated

  14. Myth: Seniors are never dropped from classes • TRUTH: Seniors can be dropped because of attendance

  15. Myth: Senior Pranks are funny, no one gets hurt • TRUTH: Senior Pranks can/have caused students to miss graduation, and to even be arrested and face criminal charges

  16. Rehearsals Attendance is mandatory for Friday (Per 1,2) (auditorium) and Monday’s rehearsals. Monday, May 21stth, WCHS large/small Gyms 7:30am Sharp!

  17. You must give Administration advance notice in writing if you are unable to attend all rehearsals. Only valid reasons will be accepted. (Doctor/Dentist etc.) (Notices to Ms. LoMazzo) • Auditorium Meeting Friday, May 18th (Per 1,2) • Gym Rehearsal, (large/small gyms) May 21st (Practice will begin at 7:30 am) • Brief Rehearsal on football field. • Wear hats/caps/glasses/sunblock to protect yourself from the sun. Dress nicely- Church/ nice restaurant apparel • Dress shoes - No flip flops and no tennis shoes; Beware: spiked heels • No decorations on caps • No additions to the gown, including flowers (except school approved organization/club regalia) • Will be sent home to change if needed or will not be allowed to walk- Don’t let it happen Commencement Attire Hi MOM

  19. No cell phones • No purses • Students under the influence will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony • Bring cap/gown in hand to the site • Final check before entering the seating area at the stadium Ceremony Guidelines

  20. Diplomas/Certificates • Will be given to seniors at the end of the ceremony • Diplomas/Certificates will be given the next day for seniors who are absent or were disciplined during the event. • Graduation is the last official school activity: Act responsibly- it’s your event!

  21. Mon, May 9th, (6-6:30 pm Check-in Auditorium) • 6:30 pm Program begins. • All seniors are required to complete and return Post-Secondary Survey and Scholarship Report form by April 23th to the Counseling dept. for site data collection AND if you wish to be included/recognized at the Senior Awards Program Senior Awards Program University Scholarship
