  6. Fossil Fuel Combustion The combustion of all fossil fuels follows a very similar reaction: Fuel (any hydrocarbon source) plus oxygen yields carbon dioxide and water and energy. Fossil Fuels Natural gas (methane) is the cleanest burning fossil fuel. Coal and oil, the other fossil fuels, are more chemically complicated than natural gas, and when combusted, release a variety of potentially harmful air pollutants.

Using "peak oil" as its underlying assumption, this documentary builds a case for suggesting that the suburban lifestyle is unsustainable. The further assumption is that one-person or one-family vehicles will always be gas powered and gas guzzling.
