Panel Profile #2 Katie Hutchins – Radisson Blu Katie has worked in the hospitality industry for over 13 years from Operations to Sales, and over the last two years she has become a specialist in the Healthcare and Life Science industry representing Carlson RezidorUK estate. Katie's full time position as Director of Sales at the Radisson Blu London Stansted Airport saw the property become one of the first accredited hotels with Compliant Venues Ltd. Louis Ford - Cvent Since early 2008, Louis has had the opportunity to participate in a number of major initiatives at Cvent. He played a key role in establishing the company’s first product adoption team and was responsible for training a team to work with meeting planners in order to increase eRFP traffic on the Cvent Supplier Network. Louis now leads Cvent’sPartnerships team in the UK and focuses on building relationships with major meeting and event management companies around the world. His current responsibilities include establishing new partnerships and referral relationships involving Cvent’s Strategic Meetings Management solution.

What are the changes? • Worldwide regulatory compliance changing rapidly over past 18 months • Sparked off by the recently deployment of the US ‘Sunshine Act’ in 2012 • European countries introducing own ‘version’ of the Sunshine Act in response • Requirement to report payments to individual HCP’s by healthcare companies • Individual HCP reporting requirements include: • Consulting fees - Honoraria • Gifts - Food & Beverage • Travel - Accommodation • Per country deadlines for starting to collect the data, then to report data • Reporting deadlines commence this year, 2013

Who is responsible for what? • THE REALITY: • The host of the meeting is ultimately responsible for collecting and reporting: • Regulatory compliance data • Internal policy data • Financial data • However….. A significant amount of the reporting required comes from the data generated by the meeting planning process The agency, venue and technology system add value by supporting the meeting manager with the data requirements
