Executive Branch Project • Essential Question: Summarize the historical changes in the office of the presidency. Task: Create a collage depicting a your choice of president’s time in office. Step One: Decide which president you would like to research Step Two: Find a historical account of the president using the Internet. (remember to turn safe search on when using google by going to advanced) This may be a newspaper article, speech, eulogy, historical account, etc. Step Three: Copy and paste the written historical artifact into Wordle(follow the instructions on the website) to create a word cloud. Disclaimer: Wordle is not a moderated site and some material may be offensive, so please restrict your access to the create page. PRNT SCRN ALT key • Step Four: Play with the tools on Wordle and once you are satisfied with your word cloud, center the cloud on the monitor, press and hold the ALT key while pressing the PRNT SCRN key. (this will capture your screen) or use the snipping tool by opening the accessories folder on the program files tab.Next open up power point and click paste on the first slide. (you may want to change your layout to a blank slide). Click on the picture that you just pasted, select the format tab and crop the picture until only the word cloud is showing. • Step Five: Search the internet for pictures relating to your historical account and create a collage using power point. Play with the picture and background effects. • Step Six: When you are satisfied with your collage, print the collage to the SL Cart Printer. It is a color printer so use color to enhance your project. • Step Seven: Using the same historical artifact, copy and paste into Tagxedo. Use one of the preset pictures or upload one of your own. • Step Eight: Have Fun, but don’t play any games unless you want to lose computer privileges.
