Data for bar graph “Filed” counts are operations per day as reported annually by airport operators,except for Mustang: Mustang’s citation is from the EIR for its request fora conditional use permit to change from private use to public use. The FAAForm 5010 variant for private use airports does not report a count of operations. Actual data are from March 6, 2010. This was the first Saturday with CAVU weather(Clear Air Visibility Unlimited) after a period of ~ 2-3 months of mainly clouds & rain. Bird strike totals cover the 20-year period (~ 7,300 days) since the FAA database ofwildlife strikes was created in January, 1990. All other counts are for a 1-day period.
