You can do a quick search by title, author, keyword or subject… And you can access your professor’s course reserve list here This is what the Drexel University Libraries catalog looks like. or, you can perform a more detailed search here.
Once you find a book in the catalog, note its location… And write down its call number. W.W. Hagerty Library uses Library of Congress Call Numbers. Also note its status: available means it is on the shelf and available for check out
Use E-Z Borrow to request the book from another library. It will be sent to Drexel, and you can borrow it with your Drexel ID. What if Drexel doesn’t have the book that you want?
Use the databases to find articles You can view databases by title or subject…
Drexel University subscribes to over 250 databases! If you know which one you would like to use, it’s best to find it on this page by title.
If you aren’t sure where to start, try choosing one by SUBJECT…. (For literature, take a look at the list of databases under English) Don’t worry! We’ll cover databases in more detail later in this tutorial.
