  3. What standard will I learn? 10.0 Students multiply special monomials and polynomials. What will I be able to do? Find the product of Sum and Difference.

  4. Difference of Two Squares. So (a + b)(a – b) = a2 – b2. A binomial of the form a2 – b2 is called a difference of two squares.

  5. Multiply. A. (x + 4)(x – 4) (a + b)(a –b) =a2 –b2 (x + 4)(x –4) =x2 –42 = x2 – 16 B. (p2 + 8q)(p2 – 8q) (a + b)(a –b) =a2 –b2 (p2 + 8q)(p2–8q) =p4 –(8q)2 = p4 – 64q2
