Food For breakfast, Costa Ricans have Gallo Pinto (a type of rice) with fried plantains which means bananas, this is accompanied by egg & orange juice. For other meals they normally have tortillas, harbenero chilli, Pozol (a corn soup), sweet corn, corn pancakes, Zucchini & shrimp with onions. They like to drink Horchata (cinnamon drink), Chan (a slimy seed drink). They LOVE coffee! (Very strong & mixed with hot milk).
Weather Costa Rica has a dry season (around December to April) & a wet season (around May to November). In Costa Rica the average annual temperature is around 21 to 27 degrees Celsius or 70 to 81 degrees Fahrenheit and the coolest months of the year are November, December and January. The months March through May are the hottest months of the year. = Sunny = Rainy
Sport They do lots of sport in Costa Rica like tennis, chess, rugby, football, golf, cycling, swimming & cricket.

History The first European to find Costa Rica was Christopher Columbus in 1502. There was around 400,000 people living there at that time. In 1821 Costa Rica achieved independence but was taken in by the Mexican Empire for two years. In 1848, the country became a republic.
