  3. Holi is an important Hindu spring festival or a Bengali New Year.

  4. In India it is connected with a harvest festival.

  5. On the first day of this 2-day festival people lighted bonfires.

  6. On the second day people threw colored water and powder on each other

  7. Holi is a time of good will, when people wish each other health and good luck.

  8. NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL

  9. Notting Hill is a street carnival in the Notting Hill district of London.

  10. It takes place on the last weekend of August.

  11. Black immigrants from the Carribean brought this carnival to Britain.

  12. Following the tradition of the Trinidadian festival great emphases is placed on fantastic costume display.

  13. Steel drum music is heard around on 7,5 km !

  14. Other musicians also played reggae, bagpipe and hip hop music.

  15. Besides exotic food you can buy souvenirs and crafts from different parts of the world.
