Exam Strategies • Remember to pay close attention to verb endings and adjectival agreement. • Recognise cognates, Learn family of words (positive / negative, antonyms) • Strategies for dealing with long texts and questions in French; breaking long sentences and questions into smaller components. • Remember that if the question is in French, the answer must also be in French. Likewise, answers to English questions should be written in English. • Before attempting a text containing unfamiliar language, analyse the type of text and look for picture clues, familiar words and cognates.
