  2. 1.- Decidir los datos que debemos reflejar y ordenarlos cronológicamente.2.- Tener a mano el material necesario: papel milimetrado o cuadriculado, lápiz, regla, rotulador negro de punta fina y pinturas de colores.3.- Elegir el tipo de eje cronológico.4.- Tener clara la primera y última fecha del período que vas a representar. 5.-Decidir la unidad de medida. Puede ser siglos, años… y el espacio que les vas a adjudicar.6.- Dibujar dos líneas rectas paralelas hacia el medio de la hoja.7.-Dividir en tramos iguales. El espacio que dejes para cada debe ser siempre el mismo. 8.- En el eje se representan los hechos puntuales (por ejemplo una batalla) en el lugar correspondiente a su fecha. También períodos (por ejemplo una guerra) representados con una barra tan larga como años dure el periodo.9.- No olvides que el orden y  la buena caligrafía son fundamentales en tu eje.10.- Revisa el eje y no dudes en completarlo si algo hubieras olvidado o con esquemas en la parte inferior.
