Rewards • *LEAP Cards- Cards students can earn for showing above and beyond LEAP behavior. One LEAP cards will be drawn from the bucket each week, which results in a reward. • *LEAP Chart- Keeps track of how many LEAP cards the students have earned. • *LEAP Tree- Students can move around the LEAP tree and earn various rewards for every 10 LEAP cards they receive. We have a treasure box and reward tickets as incentives! • *Stars- This is our whole class reward system. The students can earn class stars for compliments, LEAP behavior, and over-all following directions. These stars are drawn on the board. We’ll have a class “celebration” when the board is full of stars!! • *Table Points- Each table has a chance to earn points. First table to reach 5 points or tally marks will earn a reward ticket.
Re-teach/ Consequences *Clinics- We have classroom “basics” that we’ve been learning this week. If students do not follow these basics that we’ve been learning and practicing, they will receive a clinic to learn and discuss that specific basic again. I considered clinics as a re-teaching moment. They will come home with a clinic card that day informing you of what basic was discussed that you’ll need to sign and return. If a student receives more then 3 clinics in a week, the student will lose 5 minutes off of Fun Friday for each additional clinic needed. (I’ll start taking Fun Friday time after about a month of practice) *Oops Book!- This book is for disruptive or inappropriate behavior that may not be outlined in the basics. If a student signs the Oops Book, a note will be written in their planner to inform you. If a student has to sign the book more then 3 times in a week, the student will begin to lose 5 minutes off of their Fun Friday time.
