Why did we start ? • ILC 2014 Sir John Armitt told us of looming skills shortage • Lynne Johnson (Aviva) and I got together with like minded people and decided we needed to do something • We launched the Apprentice Academy in September 2015 with Aviva sponsorship Presentation title here 00.00.00 page 2
What have we done 2015 - 2017 • 32 companies got involved • 48 apprentices enjoyed a whole range of experiences enhancing their knowledge and adding to their life skills • 32 mentors learned more about the industry, themselves and created a strong bond with the apprentices Over Two years the apprentices have experienced ..... • An Adventure overnight – Gilwell Park – Surrey • Insurance office experience – Aviva Perth Scotland • Professional Day – with an Insurance Claim Surveyor - Aviva & L&G • Restoration Day – National Flood School & Belfor Tamworth • Challenge Day – Climbed Mt Snowdon • Charity Day – Only The Brave – Team raised £7500 for East Anglia Air Ambulance • Innovation Day (North and south ) – BRE Ravenscraig & Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and BRE Watford • Community Day – (Regional) – Southport Rugby Club Refurbishment /graveyard clearance and many more ................Leading to Graduation Day Thursday 16th November 2017 at Aviva HQ Awards recognising what we are doing • CITB SME Employer of the Year • Aviva Insurance BIA Innovation Award Presentation title here 00.00.00 page 3
What Are we doing right now • We have 50 + more apprentices going through the programme right now who are completing over the next year to 18 months • We have other sponsors join us • We have some motor apprentices • We have learned and improved what we are doing • We have commitment and passion from those involed • We have another 10 suppliers joined us ....... • We have over 30 apprentices completed ........We have space and ambition for more of you to join us Presentation title here 00.00.00 page 4

REACT ....What have we achieved together Our aim - to continue to employ apprentices for many years to come as they play such an important part in our future and your future too. We would like to thank Lynne Johnson & Liam Hanlon for getting us involved and being so passionate about such a worthwhile cause
