Mobility: Student mobility is defined as any academicmobility which takes place within a student’s program of study in post-secondary education. The length of study program can range from a semester to the full program of study. There are two main types: mobility for an entire program of study (diploma or degree mobility); and for part of a program (credit mobility). (1) Results and discussion
EU student´s mobility: - 1987 - first exchange program – Erasmus - new programs launched - 2007 - became part of Lifelong Learning Program (2007-2013), 20th anniversary - 2007 – The Council debate about mobility – exchange programs are key priorities - 2009 – new regulation about student´s mobility – till 2020 at least 20% of graduated students need to go abroad Results and discussion
International Visegrad Fund: • Foundation 2000 • Members: the Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland • Headquarters: Bratislava • Budget: in 2012 – 7 million EUR. • Purpose: is to facilitate and promote the development of closer cooperation among citizens and institutions in the V4 countries and neighbors Results and discussion
International Visegrad Fund: • Provides: scholarships (intra-visegrad and others), grants (small, standards and strategic), residency programs (mobility, literacy), studies grants, etc. • Only institutionalized form of Visegrad cooperation Results and discussion
Benefits: • Development of many skills ( language) • Job opportunity • Educational cooperation (new projects) • Cultural tolerance • Ability understand and accept different aspects Results and discussion
Need of mobility Barriers – language, culture, distance IVF is not only exchange program – cooperation among countries with similar cultures Benefits from IVF are not only for students but also for institutions, governments and countries Conclusion
