PACS IBDR Integration, Qualification and Testing • Reinhard Katterloher AIV
Instrument AIV and Testing • Qualification of Units is verified by the individual manufacturers before delivery to MPE,see verification matrix (left),delivery reviews will be held • PACS Instrument Integration and Testing starts at delivery of Units, acceptance is based on ADP and Incoming Inspection Plan • Verification of PACS instrument performance is done by MPE and is based on Instrument Level Tests (ILTs) according to PACS-ME-PL-012; Test flow and schedules are provided • AIV program and flow charts are explained in PACS-ME-PL-018 AIV
General Instrument AIV Sequence including ILTs for all PACS models AIV
Overall Configuration of ILT Set-up during AVM+CQM, FM, FS AIV
Compatibility of CQM+AVM Test Program with Test Time Limitation • Full CQM calibration program could be carried out in principle • CQM schedule is tight because start date is dictated by late delivery of BOL unit/subunit and fixed delivery date of AVM and CQM to ESA • Proposed 20 % shortening of CQM test program compared to PFM program is achieved by reducing the test parameter space for certain test articles • results in less information concerning calibration, e.g., linearity, sensitivity, sample points in calibration curves etc. • keeps full information on design verification, e.g., search for ghosts in the FPU spectrometer section etc. • maintains the chance of not missing a last feed-back to a PFM improvement AIV
