Grades • 4 ½ and 9 week quarter grades are for eligibility purposes- • At 4 ½ weeks you can earn back eligibility with passing grades and GPA 2.0 or above. • At 9 weeks you could lose or regain your eligibility.

Registering for Classes • Starts Early Spring • Classes are a year long commitment • Sections are set based on your course selection- limited sections • Talk with your Parents/ Guardians • Talk with your counselor • Honors/ Advanced/ Pre AP & AP courses/JTED
DROP/ADD POLICYFALL SEMESTER • 10 School Days to Drop Class!!!! • Dropping must be done in person • NO Specific teacher requests will be made • Changes will be considered on a first come first serve basis
Drop/Add PolicySpring Semester • You have the first 5 days of the semester to adjust your schedule • Level changes must occur within the first 5 weeks of the semester • Any and all schedule changes require a signature from both teachers.
ATTENDANCE POLICY • CDO like all public schools gets funded by student attendance. • At 10 consecutive unexcused OR excused absences a student can be withdrawn from school
What to do if you are absent? Many teachers have websites, where they post their homework and classroom lessons. If your teacher has one, CHECK IT! After 3 consecutive days absent you can make a “homework request” by calling the main office. Your teachers will send your work to the office for someone to pick up and/or you can arrange for work via email. You are solely responsible for requesting, completing, and returning all missing assignments in a timely manner.

You can explore your post high school options at any time. You will have limited time in class to log on to this account. You are encouraged to work independently.

SOPHOMORE CHECKLIST • Choose a rigorous and challenging course-load • Meet with your counselor. This person will be essential for you to help you make your college and career options as well as testing preparation. • Start taking practice exams- PSAT • Take a more active role in your sports, clubs or community service. Try to find opportunities where you can exercise leadership, organization, and cooperative skills. • Continue to explore and develop your ECAP • Talk to your Parents/Guardians about your plans for college so they can support your dreams
