How do I ask My counselor a question? 1. Come to the student services department during lunch every day of the week and ask your counselor a question. • 2. Fill out a blue form found on the counter of the student services office with your name and concern then the counselor will send a pass for you during class.

Online Drivers education Course • 9th graders • Students who enter the ninth grade in 2013-2014 may not satisfy the online course graduation requirement by taking drivers education online as per section 1003.4282, F.S., effective July 1, 2013. • 10th graders • A student who entered ninth grade prior to the 2013-2014 school year under section 1003.428, F.S., requirements may take drivers education online and have it satisfy the online graduation course requirement.
In addition to meeting the standard High School Diploma Requirements Scholar Designation Merit Designation Must pass the Algebra I EOC Attain one or more industry certifications from the list established GCHS Industry Certifications Auto CAD Adobe Flash CS5 Adobe Photoshop CS5 Medical Assistant Certification Food Handler Certification • Pass the ELA Grade 11 Common Core Assessment once implemented • 1 credit in Algebra 2, Chemistry or Physics • 1 credit in a course equally rigorous to chemistry or physics • 1 credit in statistics or equally rigorous math course • Pass the Biology EOC and US History EOC • 2 credits in same world language • Earn at least one credit in AP, IB, AICE or dual enrollment course

Make up Work Policy Students are to be provided one school day for everyday day missed to make up work. Long term assignments are due on the day the student returns to school.
Community Service • Not Required for graduation • Non-profit organization • Cannot be affiliated with religious or political organizations • Must obtain prior approval during lunch on Thursdays and Fridays in the Student Services Office • Forms available on the Web or in the Student Services Office
Midterms Exams December 18-20 Final Exams June 1-4 • Often we get calls about students missing midterm or final exams. Students are not allowed to take the exams early - they can only take them when they return.
IMPORTANT TESTING DATES • PSAT testing for all sophomores: • October 16th, 2013 • FCAT testing for Reading: • April 22- May 1, 2014
