Summary • At closing time, Lenina and Henry got into their helicopter. • On the way to Henry’s, they flew over the Crematorium and witnessed a switchback. • When they arrive at Henry’s apartment, they went to the dining room where they had a meal and soma. • After dinner, Lenina and Henry go to the Westminster Abbey Carbaret where the Sixteen Sexophonists are playing and dance amongst others. • At the end of this chapter, Lenina and Henry take another dose of soma.
Summary • Bernard takes a helicopter taxi to Fordson Community Singery for a meeting. • The President begins the service by making two T signs signaling the service has begun. • A cup is passed around containing strawberry ice cream and soma and everybody drinks some. • During the ceremony, they hear a voice overhead saying “Oh, Ford, Ford, Ford…” (pg. 83) and claim it to be the “Great Being” coming. • They dance to orgy-porgy • After the meeting, all are standing on the roof and Bernard feels “separate and unatoned, while the others were being fused into the Greater Being” (pg. 86).
