  2. Rejected Take-Off • Thrust levers – IDLE • Wheel Brakes – APPLY MAX BRAKING UNTIL SAFE STOP • Thrust reverser(s) – APPLY MAX CONSISTENT WITH DIRECTIONAL CONTROL

  3. Engine Fire/Severe Damage (In Flight) • Indication: L ( R ) ENG FIRE PUSH Lt, L ( R) ENG FIRE and “Fire bell” • At a safe altitude: • Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM and IDLE • Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM and SHUT OFF • Affected ENG FIRE switch – CONFIRM and PUSH • Affected BOOST Pump – CONFIRM and OFF • After 10 seconds and fire warning persists: • 5. Affected engine BOTTLE – DISCHARGE • Push and hold until firex bottle light goes out.

  4. Engine Fire/Severe Damage (In Flight) After 30 seconds and fires warning persists: 6. Both engine BOTTLEs – DISCHARGE Push and hold until firex bottle light goes out.

  5. Engine Fire/Severe Damage (On Ground) • Indication: L ( R ) ENG FIRE PUSH Lt, L ( R) ENG FIRE and “Fire bell” • Note: Attempt to face airplane into the wind. • Parking brake - ON • Affected thrust lever –SHUT OFF • Affected ENG FIRE switch –PUSH • BOOST Pumps – BOTH OFF • After 10 seconds and fire warning persists: • 5. Both engine BOTTLEs – DISCHARGE • Push and hold until firex bottle light goes out.

  6. POST-SHUTDOWN ENGINE TAIL PIPE FIRE Indication: Engine ITT exceeds 350° C and ITT is rising rapidly, or Flame is reported at engine tail pipe Affected engine – Dry Motor until ITT is reduced below 150° C or starter limit.

  7. DOUBLE ENGINE FAILURE (IN FLIGHT) • Indication: Engine failure indicated by N1, N2, ITT, and fuel flow indications. • CONT IGNITION – ON • If engines continue to run-down: • 2. Thrust levers (both) – SHUTOFF • 3. ADG manual deploy handle – PULL • When ADG Power is established: • 4. Stab Trim Ch2 – Engage • 5. Target Airspeed – Established • Above FL 340 = .7 Mach, Below FL340 = 240 KIAS • Maintain Airspeed until ready to Restart Engines.

  8. L ( R ) JETPIPE OVHT Msg • Indication: “JETPIPE OVERHEAT” Aural • Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM & RETARD slowly until Msg out.

  9. L ( R ) REV UNLOCKED Msg • Indication: Automatic thrust lever retard to IDLE • REV icon on N1 gauge • Airplane buffet and yaw • L ( R ) Thrust Reverser Unlk Lt. • Affected engine: • Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM & IDLE • Affected THRUST REVERSER – EMER STOW

  10. UNCOMMANDED ACCELERATION • Indication: Engine accelerates to thrust settings other than as selected with the thrust lever. • ON GROUND: • 1. Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM & IDLE then SHUT OFF • DURING FLIGHT: • Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM & IDLE Check engine response • ENGINE DOES NOT RESPOND: • 2. Affected thrust lever – CONFIRM then SHUT OFF • 3. Single Engine Procedure (See Page ABNORM 1-2) - ACCOMPLISH

  11. SMOKE REMOVAL PROCEDURE • Oxygen masks/Smoke goggles – DON and 100% • Crew Communication - ESTABLISH

  12. AIR CONDITIONING SMOKE Indication: Visible smoke or odor entering the flight compartment and passenger cabin from air conditioning system. 1. Oxygen masks/Smoke goggles – DON and 100% 2. Crew Communication - ESTABLISH

  13. ELECTRICAL SMOKE OR FIRE • Oxygen masks/Smoke goggles – DON and 100% • Crew Communication - ESTABLISH

  14. SMOKE CARGO Msg Indications: -NORMAL CARGO SMOKE PUSH Lt, STANDBY-CARGO SMOKE PUSH Lt, “SMOKE” Aural msg 1. AIR-CONDITIONING, CARGO -OFF 2. CARGO FIREX, NORMAL & STANDBY CARGO SMOKE – PUSH 3. CARGO FIREX, NORMAL & STANDBY BOTTLE ARMED-PUSH TO DISCH – PUSH & hold for 5 seconds to discharge both squibs.

  15. QRH EMERGENCY DESCENT PROCEDURE • Oxygen masks – DON and 100% • Crew Communication – ESTABLISH • NO SMKG and SEAT BELTS – ON • Descent – INITIATE TO 10,000 OR LOWEST SAFE ALTITUDE • Thrust levers – IDLE • Flight Spoilers - EXTEND

SOP FLOW – EMERGENCY DESCENT PROCEDURE CHECLIST • @ 10,000 feet • At ALTS CAP (FMA) – Flt Spoilers Retract • Thrust Levers – As required to maintain 250 kts • CP – Command FO – Oxygen Mask Off • FO – Normal Communications - Establish • CP – Flight Controls – Transfer • CP – Oxygen Mask – Off • CP – Normal Communications – Establish • CP - Cabin Status – Check NTSBO • CP – Assume Flight Controls

  19. CABIN ALT Msg • Indication: “CABIN PRESSURE” Aural • Emergency Descent Procedure – INITIATE • (See Page EMER 3-1)

  20. APU FIRE Msg • Indication: APU FIRE PUSH Lt • “Fire bell” and exterior APU “fire horn” • APU FIRE Switch – PUSH • After 5 seconds fire warning persists: • 2. APU BOTTLE – DISCHARGE • Push and confirm that firex bottle light goes out

  21. QRH PASSENGER EVACUATION • PILOT: • PARKING BRAKE – ON • EVACUATION – COMMAND • SPOILERS – MAN DISARM • Thrust levers – SHUTOFF • Evacuation – INITIATE using PA system • APU, LH and RH ENG FIRFE PUSH – PUSH • BATTER MASTER – OFF to prevent CVR erasure

  22. QRH PASSENGER EVACUATION COPILOT, On EVACUATION command: 8. ATC – NOTIFY of condition and intention to EVAC 9. EMER DEPRESS – ON EMER LTS – ON coincident with PA announcement

SOP FLOW – PASSENGER EVACUATION • CAPTAIN: • Aircraft – If possible face into wind • Parking Brake – ON • IF EVACUATION IS DUE TO FIRE: • Affected Thrust lever – SHUT OFF • Affected ENG Fire Switch – PUSH • BOOST pumps – BOTH OFF • AFTER 10 SECONDS: • 1. Both engine bottles – DISCHARGE (Push and hold until firex bottle lights extinquish, Complete STEP1 : PREPARE)

  24. SOP FLOW – PASSENGER EVACUATION • FIRST OFFICER: • ATC – Notify of possible evacuation • FLIGHT ATTENDANT – Notify of possible evacuation if time permits

  25. SOP FLOW – PASSENGER EVACUATION • STEP 1 : PREPARE TO EVACUATE • CAPTAIN: • Command – Prepare to evacuate • GLD’S – Manual disarm • Flight spoilers – Retract • Evacuation due to a fire – Fire not extinguished (Complete STEP2) • FIRST OFFICER: • EMER DEPRESS - ON

SOP FLOW – PASSENGER EVACUATION • STEP 2 : COMMAND • CAPTAIN: • Command – Evacuation • Thrust levers – SHUT OFF • Command – (EVACUATE 3 times) on PA • APU, LH, RH, ENG FIRE PUSH – Push • Battery Master – OFF • Cockpit – Leave to help with evacuation • FIRST OFFICER: • ATC – Advise of evacuation • Emergency lights – ON 3 times with (EVACUATE) PA • Cockpit – Leave to help with evacuation

  27. EMER PWR ONLY MSG • INDICATION: ADG automatically deployed, • Loss of all normal electrical power • ADG Manual deploy handle - PULL

  28. DITCHING or FORCED LANDING IMMINENT • L & R PACKs – OFF • EMER DEPRESS - ON

  29. STAB TRIM Runaway • Control wheel – ASSUME MANUAL CONTROL AND OVERRIDE RUNAWAY • STAB TRIM - DISCONNECT

  30. BRAKE OVHT Msg • Indication: “BRAKES” Aural • ON GROUND: • Do not take-off • IN FLIGHT: • Airspeed – Not more than 250 KIAS • Landing gear lever DN

  31. MLG BAY OVHT Msg • Indication: “GEAR OVERHEAT” Aural • Airspeed – Not more than 250 KIAS • Landing gear lever DN

  32. ASYMMETRIC BRAKING/LOSS OF BRAKING • If excessive asymmetry or loss of braking is observed upon landing: • Wheel brakes – RELEASE MOMENTARILY • ANTI SKID – OFF • Wheel brakes – RE-APPLY AS REQUIRED

  33. CONFIGURATION WARNINGS • Indication: Config. AP, Flaps, Splrs, Stab, Rudder, Aileron, Brakes • Take-Off – Discontinue Immediately
