  3. Find your report on the list of finished reports If your report is not listed check the Display Report Scheduler Status to see if another report is running ahead of your report If there is another report running wait a few minutes and then check again Overdue Notices If you see your report name currently running, then you just need to wait until it finishes to view it You may use the Refresh Report List to check to see if the report has finished and appears on the listing of finished reports

  4. With your report selected you can select the following options

  9. Let’s look at the Change format option • Never change • Character set table • Top margin • Bottom margin In rare instances Page width may need to be changed

  10. Page length may need to be changed if your report is not lining up correctly Before you make any adjustments make sure that the settings in the application you have defined to print reports (MS Word 2003 & earlier) has the following page settings: • Portrait • Left and Right Margins of .92 inch • Top and Bottom Margins of 1 inch

  11. Before printing the reports make sure that your reports are lining up correctly by using the Print Preview option in your printing application This is found under the File menu in most applications

  12. Notice the slight gap on the top of the page on the right

  13. WE HAVE A PROBLEM……. Looking a few pages forward (19-20) we can see the format problem even better

  14. Changing the Page length is not done in the Format Page screen: This screen only displays the default setup To change the Page length we will need to go back to the start up properties screen to change the default setting

  15. Choose the Report Session wizard found under the Common Tasks Wizard heading

  16. Let’s try changing the default page length to 57 57 Let’s go back to the Finished Reports to see if this is the right setting

  17. Let’s view ABC Overdue Notices Since we are printing make sure View Log is unchecked for this report Choose Change Format We can now see that the page length has been changed to 57 Click OK Let’s check our print preview

  18. So far all looks good – let’s check pages 19-20 to make sure

  19. All is still aligned properly, this looks like the right setting for this printer….

  20. You may now print off the report If this seems to be the correct setting for the majority of your reports, then I would suggest saving this default format. Close the printing application program and close the Finished Reports wizard. Close Symphony. The software should now tell you that the Properties have changed and ask if you wish to save these settings. If you choose Yes, this will be the default format for this computer until you change it in the future.
