Objective • TSWBAT: Identify the basic parts of a One Page Business Report. • Format, key, and edit a One Page Business Report correct.
Agenda • TEST ON Wednesday and Thursday!!!!!! • Warm-up Textbook SB2 • 2 min. timing test (5 errors max) • Student Portfolio (Add Academic Report “Today’s Work Place) • Introduce Business Report w/ side headings and paragraph headings • Formatting Instructions • Bold, Italic, Copy, Cut, Paste
Business Report Side Headings • To communicate information to assist in business decision making process • Follows a specific set of rules for formatting • Side headings break a report into specific sections • Paragraph Headings (or run-in Headings) are minor subdivisions of a report
Formatting Requirements • Use default side and bottom margins • Double-space the entire report. Change line spacing before you begin the report • Leave approximately 2-inch TM (press enter 3 times) • Center and type the report title in all CAPS and Bold
Formatting • Key Side Headings • At the left margin in all caps and bold. • With a double space before and after • Paragraph Headings • Indented 0.5 inch • Initial caps and bold • Followed by a period • Followed by one space Complete all formatting requirements before you begin to key.
