1. The Stroke Oxygen Study Autumn 2008 Newsletter SOS CO-ORDINATING CENTRE STUDY UPDATE Dr Christine Roffe, Chief Investigator Welcome to the second SOS study newsletter! The study is developing rapidly, we are really thrilled with the response we have received from interested sites. It is great to see the enthusiasm for the study. We have attended the South East, Thames and North West Stroke Research Meetings to talk about the study and meet with interested researchers. Our recruitment at  University Hospital of North Staffordshire is increasing steadily. We are now beginning the initial visits to get the approved sites up and running. REMINDER Please come and visit the SOS stand at the 3rd UK Stroke Forum Conference from the 2nd — 4th December 2008 at Harrogate International Centre. We look forward to meeting you there. SOS PILOT STUDY The SOS pilot study that we conducted at University Hospital of North Staffordshire closed for patient recruitment. The database is locked and the analysis is underway. We are to present the initial findings at the BGS (November) and the UK stroke Forum.
