  4. Condizionale • used to: • describe what you should or would do • describe what would happen in a given situation • express desires and requests in a polite way • equal to English: would/should + verb

  5. Condizionale • The present conditional is formed by using the FUTURE stem and adding the conditional endings. (Future p. 271) • For example, COMPRARE • the future is COMPRERÒ • the stem of the future is COMPRER- • we take the stem and add the endings for the conditional: p. 295 • Verbs that are irregular in the future, are irregular in the conditional.
