Issue • Firewalls will not let just any old stream pass • source IP address • source port • destination IP address • destination port • transport protocol (TCP/UDP) • How to transport this in SIP?
Common use of SDP m=audio 1110 RTP/AVP 0 c=IN IP4 1.1.1.1 ports and addresses for RTCP streams are implicit
SDP already allows for source address specification! m=audio 1110 RTP/AVP 0 c=IN IP4 1.1.1.1 a=recvonly m=audio 2220 RTP/AVP 0 c=IN IP4 2.2.2.2 a=sendonly where does the RTCP come from?????
Proposal for added behavior to SIP Derive the RTCP port from the other m-line m=audio 1110 RTP/AVP 0 1111 c=IN IP4 1.1.1.1 a=recvonly m=audio 2220 RTP/AVP 0 2221 c=IN IP4 2.2.2.2 a=sendonly
