Transition Year Programme The criteria include the following ; The case made by the individual student on the T.Y. application form Suitability of Student for the programme as decided by the school management Total intake not in excess of 144 students, allowing for a maximum of five classes of 30 students After application of the above criteria a lottery system will be used where the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available A shortlist will be created for any remaining applicants

  10. Transition Year Programme Costs involved:€500 for TY 2013/2014 Includes the following; 3 day Outdoor pursuits trip 2 day music workshop Driving Theory/C.D./Appl. Field Trip-Eco/cookery Career Trips-U.C.C. RE Retreat /Art Trip Guest Speakers Horse riding Science/Forensic workshop Young Social Innovators Law workshop Transport / Stationery costs Subject to on going change

  11. Additional Information Work experience (to be organised by student) takes place the week before the October midterm and the week before February Midterm Skiing is an optional extra which takes place the week before February Midterm and coincides with the second work experience
